EMPLOYMENT OUTLOOK: 

Employment of electroneurodiagnostic technologists (also known as EEG technologists) is expected to rise faster than average from 8,500 in 2010 to 11,700 in 2025, a 50% increase in response to increased demand for neurodiagnostic tests. 


What does a electroneurodiagnostic technologist do?

EEG technologists, which include electroneurodiagnostic or neurophysiologic technologists (electric brain scan operators), operate electroencephalograph (EEG) machines that help neurologists diagnose brain tumors, strokes, toxic metabolic disorders, and epilepsy also as detect infectious diseases and organic impairments affecting the brain.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
