The CNA salary by state also varies. The highest paying states for this occupation included Alaska ($39,700, $19.68 per hour) followed by New York ($37,830, $17.30 hourly ) and Nevada ($36,610, $18.20 per hour). The lowest paying states were concentrated in the southern region of the United States and included Mississippi ($24,890, $13.56 hourly), Louisiana ($24,630, $113.92 per hour), Arkansas ($25,890, $116.04 hourly) and Alabama ($26,570, $16.37 per hour). Each of these salaries were median annual wages as of May 2021.

CNA Job Description
