Employment for radiologic technologists are going to be highly competitive within the decade ahead as hospitals merge radiologic with medicine technology departments. NATURE OF WORK: 

Radiologic technologists perform a spread of jobs associated with the utilization of X-ray equipment. Radiographers produce Xray films (radiographs) of parts of the physical body to be used in diagnosing medical problems. radiotherapy technologists prepare cancer patients for treatment and administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts. Sonographers, also referred to as ultrasound technologists, use non-ionizing, ultrasound equipment to transmit high frequency sound waves into patients' bodies to make images for diagnostic purposes.

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

Most radiologic technologists work a 35-40 hour week. They spend an excellent deal of your time on their feet and should lift or turn disabled patients.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, QUALIFICATIONS: 

Most radiological technologists attend 1-4 year training programs offered in hospitals, colleges and universities, vocational-technical institutes, and therefore the soldiers . many nations require radiographers and radiotherapy technologists to be licensed.
